Carnegie Mellon Textiles Lab

The Carnegie Mellon Textiles Lab

About

The Carnegie Mellon Textiles Lab extends the state of the art in textile design and fabrication. We seek to collaborate broadly both inside and outside the Carnegie Mellon community.

Our space in Wean 1334 houses three CNC knitting machines, a prosumer-level jacquard loom, and various small textiles fabrication tools and supplies. We also maintain a computer-controlled quilting machine, currently on extended loan to the HCII.
